Transport & Collection Policy

At Oakover Retrievers our small, boutique breeding program runs alongside full-time work and family life.

We are happy to help arrange transport for families located outside of our area. Puppies can travel Australia-wide via trusted road transport or domestic flights where suitable.

All transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We will assist where we can by recommending reputable transport companies and helping coordinate arrangements.

Our puppies will only travel once they are old enough, vet checked, vaccinated, and ready for their new homes. Whenever possible, we encourage families to collect their puppy in person

Transport options and fees

  • We are able to arrange domestic flights through Dogtainers from Brisbane Airport to an airport near you. We do receive a breeder discount and have used dogtainers many times as a trusted transport agent.

    Please note all puppies flying will be scheduled to travel on the same day where possible. Brisbane is a 6-hour trip one way for us.

  • Road transport is also available. We have previously used Petwaggin and Dogmovers and have had positive experiences with both. You are also welcome to organise your own transport quotes if preferred.

    Please keep in mind that many transport companies do not service Wallumbilla directly, which may require us to meet the transporter in Dalby or Toowoomba with your puppy. All transport arrangements must be coordinated with us in advance.

  • We warmly welcome families to collect their puppy from our home.

  • We are happy to meet families along our travels where possible. Potential meet-up locations may include Chinchilla, Dalby, Toowoomba, Brisbane Airport, or the Sunshine Coast.
