Transport & Collection Policy

Our Approach

At Oakover Retrievers our small, boutique breeding program runs alongside full-time work and family life. We operate with clear policies to ensure the wellbeing of our puppies and a smooth experience for families.

We kindly ask families to understand that:

  • Puppies are best collected directly from our home.

  • Transport options (Brisbane Airport or Toowoomba Road transport) are available with structured fees and scheduling. Flight costs are separate.

  • Transport is scheduled on weekends, Fridays or Mondays.

  • We are unable to accommodate last-minute changes or ad-hoc arrangements.

Our priority is the safe transition of each puppy while maintaining the balance of our family and breeding program.

🏡 Home Collection (Preferred)

We strongly encourage families to collect their puppy directly from our home. We understand that living in a rural area can make transport logistics more challenging, and we appreciate families planning ahead.

This allows you to:

  • Meet us in person

  • Receive feeding and care guidance

  • Ensure a relaxed, unrushed handover

  • See where your puppy has been raised

There is no additional fee for home collection.

🔐 Privacy & Security

Our home is also our private residence. For the safety of our family, kids, puppies and our other dogs, collection is by scheduled appointment only.

Address details are provided closer to collection day once final payment has been received.

Access to the property is limited to a designated collection area at the front of the property. We appreciate families respecting our privacy, home and working farm environment.

✈️ Brisbane Airport Drop-Off (Flights)

For families requiring air transport, we offer drop-off to Brisbane Airport by prior arrangement.

Airport drop-off fee: $200 per puppy
(Flight costs are separate and payable directly to the airline unless I’ve organised the flights for you.)

Due to the 12-hour round trip and full-day commitment, airport transport:

  • Is available on weekends, Fridays or Mondays

  • Must be arranged in advance

  • Requires confirmed flight details prior to travel

  • Is subject to weather and temperature safety guidelines

✨ Multiple Puppies Flying Same Day

Group airport rate: $150 per puppy (when 2 or more puppies travel on the same day).

🚗 Road Transport – Toowoomba Drop-Off

For families arranging professional road transport, we offer drop-off to Toowoomba by prior arrangement.

Toowoomba drop-off fee: $150 per puppy

This covers travel time (7–8 hour round trip), fuel, and vehicle expenses.

Road transport must be:

  • Booked and paid by the buyer

  • Scheduled in coordination with us

  • Confirmed prior to the puppy’s departure date

Weekend or Friday availability applies with the exception of other days on a case by case basis.

Group Toowoomba rate: $100 per puppy (when 2 or more puppies travel on the same day).

We offer a complimentary drop off to Chinchilla on weekends only. This saves buyers between 3-4 hours and can be discussed on a case by case basis.
