Why an Oakover Puppy?
We are a small family orientated breeder in outback QLD about 40kms from Roma. What does this mean? This means we do not have puppies available all year round. Our golden retrievers are bred first and foremost for temperament, versatility and health. We do not sell to back yard breeders, and we currently do not have any of our dogs in guardian homes. Our golden retrievers are raised on acreage in a family environment surrounded with kids, cats, cows, chickens, ducks, geese and other dogs. All our dogs are extensively health tested for known defects and breed problems. This testing includes hip and elbow scoring and full DNA breed profile for all genetic defects. They’re hearts are monitored yearly and eyes are clear. We are actively working to breed out known health issues from the breed and to improve our blood lines with specifically chosen dogs. Our dogs are not only to be bred but they become a part of our family. Our dogs come on regular holidays with us and live inside and outside. We are a young active family with 4 kids ages 18, 16, 14 and 9. Our puppies are handled from birth with love and care from the whole family.

Alba
Alba was born on the 23rd of August 2023. She is a beautiful, cheeky girl with a huge personality. She is a bit of a shoe thief and absolutely loves swimming in any body of water or puddle. She speaks on command or when she wants food. She has a beautiful dark red coat.

Bunny
Bunny is one of our own bred puppies. Her birthday is the 30th of May 2023. She is very gentle, soft and absolutely loves cats. She has deep traditional golden colour coat. She sleeps on my daughter’s bed every night. She is highly intelligent with many tricks under her belt.

Yeti
Yeti is our upcoming stud male. His birthday is the 5th of April 2025. He come all the way from New Zealand. His dad is a full pedigree field retriever. Yeti will have a dark beautiful coat when his adult coat comes in. He is a very chill, handsome little dude. He’s very smart and has fit into the family like he has always been there.
All testing will be done at 12 months of age.
